Early Treatment

As a parent, you might be surprised to learn that your child should see an orthodontist for an evaluation at the age of 7.  This does NOT mean your seven year old will need braces. But this is the age the American Association of Orthodontists recommends getting that first check-up because kids usually have a mix of baby and adult teeth. It is at this point that some orthodontic issues can be detected.

In some cases, the earlier an orthodontic problem is discovered, the easier it is to correct without surgery or extractions.  Dr. Chelian is well versed in treating early orthodontic issues so you can rest assured that your child’s smile is in good hands.
